    Safety at CMMT
    CMMT is committed to providing our employees with a safe workplace by formulating the labor safety management regulations as well as ongoing improvement of relevant protection measures and employee training. We strive to "comply with obligations, participate in all employees, protect the environment, control risks, improve performance, and make continuous improvements" to achieve zero pollution and zero accidents. Furthermore, we constantly evaluate the introduction of new production technology and equipment and organize employee safety and health training and health promotion activities to minimize the environmental impact of our production process while enhancing employee safety awareness and health.

    Gender equality at work
    In response to the Ministry of Labor’s policies on leave allowance for unpaid parental leave and tocolysis leave, CMMT continues to improve its health protection measures. We also comply with the “Guidelines for Maternal Health Protection in the Workplace”. Employees who return to work within one year after pregnancy and childbirth will be subjected to health risk assessment, hazard control, and risk communication to make work adjustments as deemed necessary. Pregnant employees are provided with relevant health consultation and resident physician services, while breakroom and breastfeeding room are provided to create a friendly working environment for female employees.
    In 2018, 2019, and 2020, 52, 43, and 19 employees applied for unpaid parental leave, respectively.
    Retirement system
    The Company abides by the Labor Law and Labor Pension Act-related regulations to formulate the employee retirement system. If our employees satisfy one of the following criteria, they are entitled to apply for retirement: Those who have worked for the Company for more than 15 years and who are at least 55 years old; those who have worked for the Company for more than 25 years. Unless the employees meet one of the following conditions, the Company may not force them to retire: Those who are at least 65 years old Where the employee is unable to perform his/ her duties due to mental handicap or physical disability. The Company may request the central competent authority to adjust the age prescribed in Subparagraph 1 of the preceding paragraph if the specific job entails risk, requires substantial physical strength, or is otherwise of special nature; provided, however, that the age shall not be below 55. The retirement age of the employee is determined based on his/her household registration records. The Company has complied well with the Labor Standards Act and Labor Pension Act. For employees who apply to the Labor Pension Act, the Company allocates 6% of the monthly salary to their labor pension individual accounts. One employee retired in 2021.
